How can I tell if its starview 1? The firmware ive uses is CryptStar-v1.4-GenuineOnly.zip, is that the right one? I dont have a clone box, pretty sure its genuine.
Everytime i press 1570, i check that emu is on and it is. Will try it again now.

did you unzip it before you put it on also did you use the V4.00 gtrom loader to put it on
also try turning the box off at the back and then back on again that might do it also

Yeah, initially, I was getting the No Signal message. I have got a new connector and still when I try the automatic scan or manual scan the box is not picking up any channels. Beginning to lose patience I'm afraid. Does anyone have any ideas. I hoped it was as simple as the connectors not being tight enough but that isnt the case. I have tried it with a NTL box and it is picking up channels perfectly. Any bright ideas left before it goes into the bin!!!
Thanks for all your help in advance.

Yep, just done it again there to make sure, when I have the gtrom loaded open, i just have the app file only ticked, should I then do something with the channel data file?

yep. Have tried that. Its the same cable that works perfectly on a second NTHell box. So, the cable seems perfect. I thought it might be the connector that connects this cable to the box, so I got a new connector - and this hasnt worked. I'm coming to the conclusion that whatever electronics are inside the box arent picking up the signal. NTHell box and The Box are the same distance from the TV.

No leave that alone that is only for the channel dump for the box which i would say you dont have did you do a factory reset before flashing it also turn the box off at the back then back on then flash it in standby mode
also you should see 100% first then you will get another pop up telling you it is complete

If it doesn't pick up anything after the rescan and factory reset the tuner is either broke or loose.

Ok. the cables are definitely in the right "holes". The box was working. I will try to reset to the factory settings. This I have done already, but will try again. And then do an automatic scan.
Done this. There is no sign of life from the box. No Progams are found on any automatic scan or on any manual codes that I have. As I said I suspect there is something internal wrong with the box. Because the cable and scart are working fine on the other box that I have. They receive a signal. I replaced the connector and have made sure that everything is tightly in place. The box was working and I'm sure that I have connected up everything correctly as I did when it was working.
Pretty sure my affair with the box is over, unless one of the good people on here have a idea. Thanks for all your help. The frustration is beginning to get the better of me.
