its the third option....run program at PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\EBOOT.PBP....something like that. have to have recovery files installed prior.

db62 all of this is up to you.(how you like it)
1)CPU speed leave it default(change it to 266 if you will use ratchet and clack game)
2) UMD auto start turn Off
3) yes enable the flash player at all in the settings.(WMA and all)
Mather yes install the recovery also.(or you can do it after you get a partial brick with the USB option in recovery)

1) Not qualified enough to answer. This could wear out your CPU if you crank it up to much. Although it makes it run faster.
2) All that is is if you want the PSP to automatically start the UMD when you boot it up. Disabling that would just make your PSP bootup into the XMB(cross menu bar, A.K.A. main screen).
3) The flash player is just in the browser. If you dont surf the net on your PSP it doesnt really matter. If you want to be able to view flash in the browser, enable it. However, it doesnt play new flash, just swf flash.

Hi,
I have already upgraded to 3.03 OE-C. I have no problem playing:
1)ISO/CSO files in ISO folder
2)PSX in PSP/Game folder
3)And Narutonp & Narutonp% in PSP/game150 folder
The question is I have a Movie CSO file extracted from UMD movie, how can I play it? Thanks.

HiHex :)my question to you is... as I did not see it posted here I have bought and PSP with 303-OE-C already on it and it's a NON TA-082 Motherboard will these recovery 1.5 winstallers and back to 303.OE-C winstallers work on a NON TA-082 Motherboard?
I'm asking this if do a screw up one day So I like to know before hand :)

you need to use UMDEmulator 8c so you can play iso movies.(not cso)
Bianca12 if it works on a TA-082 why wouldn't it work on a NON TA-082 psp? (when they are better)
This works on all psp's and has nothing to do with the Motherboard.(1.5 to 3.10 OE)

hi ppl im new here, ive got a psp version 1.50 jap was thinking of upgrading to 3.03O-C Winstaller, i read quite bit on here, but still wasn't so sure if i was capable, need a step by step guide(im simple terms) what to do?...plz chaps i am useless at these kind of things....
ive got the software downloaded on the PC also:
do i have to use a USB to runn the software or can i jus use a card reader to install the software on the MS?
how long does it take for the complete process?
shall i also leave the Power adaptor plugged in at al time whilse updating?
what do i do after all this?
im not askin much am I......
plz help....i am a fool!!!!

HEX, I have read through 40 pages and havn't found the answer to my question. That question is:
->I have a ta-82 and am using 3.10oe-a' thanks to your installer,
CAN I use wininstaller 3.03oe-c to go back to 3.03oe-c?
(I miss my icons :)

No, you need to go back to 1.50 then you can go to oe-c.

I tried to install UMDEmulator 8 or 8C to my 3.03 OE-C and changed my kernel to 1.5, I still get the corrupted data error in my xml game menu. So can UMDEmulator be installed on 3.03 OEC?

Seeing as I just did the same thing with great success, 2.5/2.6/2.70 or 2.71 TA-082 psp update to 2.8
Works on all Motherboards TA-079->TA-086
1) download the 2.80 SONY update
2) Download the 2.80-1.50DownGrader.zip
3) Follow instructions in the Downgrader file
4) You now have a 1.5 PSP!
5) Use Hex's most excellent Wininstaller 3.03 or 3.10
6) You now have a 3.03oe-c or 3.10oe-a PSP!

I intend to install 3.03 OE-C. I'm on firmware 2.60. I.m not sure what motherboard my psp has got but I've had the console for over a year.
Am I right in believing I must use the 1.50 Recovery Winstaller first and then use the 3.03 OE-C Winstaller. Will the 1.50 Recovery Winstaller work with 2.60?
Also, how do I open up recovery mode on my psp. I have tried holding the r trigger when turning it on after shutting it down completely but it doesn't work?

No, you dont use the recovery thing. What you do first is check if its a TA-082 MOBO or not. This can be found with a search for "TA-082 check"(without quotes). Once you know that, go to the download section of psp-hacks.com and find the appropriate downgrader. What you should do is upgrade to the official 2.71 firmware and then use the standalone downgrader for it. But make sure you get the right downgrader for you MOBO. Then you use Hex' easy installer to put your prefered firmware on(firmware, not the recovery). Also, the reason you cant enter recovery mode is because you dont have custom firmware. Thats only a feature you can get with these firmwares.

I am on 3.03 OEC. So if I want to go back to 1.5, I go to recovery and run the recovery file is it? So from 1.5 back to 3.03 OEC, I can just use the Winstaller again?

hi guys thanks for the winstaller 3.03 OE-C, ive managed to install it without any problems so far, but i cant seen to get my iso games to work, ive made an ISO folder in the root dir, i can see the icons for the game on my psp but when i select the game its says " the game could not be started (80020321) why is that? ive tried it with a few different gems keep gettin similar message, i do have a UMD disc inserted also.......
please someone help ( HEXITNOW )...thanks in advance

Because I have some CSO movie files which need UMDEmulator 8c which only runs on 1.5. Unless there are better method to watch the files in OE????

Pretty sure you can run UMDEmulator 8c on 3.03 OE-C and 3.10 OE-A. Put the file in the GAME150 folder (ms0:/psp/GAME150). Thanks, this winstaller is easy to use and works great!. Yay, 1000th post :)
