I ran into a weird problem with FF today, I was doing something and my PC crashed. When I restarted it, opened up FF and all my bookmarks were gone, the integrated search bar on the top right corner that have all my search engines, they were gone too. Is there an alternate solution besides uninstall and reinstall FF? I'm using their latest release, 1.5.0.7 or something like that.

Have you checked your profile folder to see if there are still bookmark backups? Located at:
C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(your pofile name)\bookmarkbackups

Are your search plugins still in this folder?
C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(your profile name)\searchplugins

Are the default search plugins still in their folder?
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins

Thanks for replying, I fixed. Just had to delete the localstore.rdf file and renamed the bookmarks.html, copy/paste the latest file from bookmarkbackups, and voila.
