If you have a pioneer burner do the Gary OPA 7in1 2.1
If you have another burner, try the birdy hitachi-Lg friendly flasher 2.2 FIXED with the mediapatch. It "may" support your burner. It did mine which is a Sony DRU-810a
Quote:Watch out!!
If you have a v59.x hitachi , never use birdy.Stick with gary opa
I have a 59DJ and birdy's worked for me. Like I said before in the thread, get the birdy flasher 2.2 FIXED with mediapatch2. It supports xx59xx drives.
please lets not assume on these forms, lets use real data and facts, it just messes things up for people who read stuff here and believe it when in actuality its not real at all.. sorry but just getting worried with false posts, ive heard of many people with hitachi v.59x and they used birdy succesfully.. lets just read alot more around the forums before posting help

So since I am getting a Pioneer 111D off eBay soon enough, The OPA 2.1 firmware is the newest one out for me? BTW, What is the difference between each new version of the firmware? Will I have to reflash everytime a new firmware comes? Basically my question is, What is the point of keep coming out with newer and newer versions of the same thing?
You're right but i flashed my drive with birdy and drive is bricked now.I have 59 dj and ,i'm trying to get it reflashed with programmer+adaptor. If fixed version does not brick 59xx then i made a mistake to say to stay away from birdy.Sorry
