underneath my sqaure button i can see a metal rod and every time i click square it gets sticky is there a way i could fix it.

Open your PSP. There will be a rubber pad thingy that sort of follows the contours of the buttons. (X, O, Triangle Square) Just rotate that a 1/4 revolution.
That should fix it. If you need to know how to take your PSP apart, leave a message and I'll get back to you.

yeah rubber padding must have been moved some how or maybe some soda or something got in might as well open it like guano said and investigate

dont worry i suck at art stuff and i have enough psp's i just got won a bid for one a few hours ago just a little work and i will be able to make a good profit of it

The "metal rod" that you see is the LCD Tray. If it sticks then like everyone else said it could soda or some other element that's making it stick.

glad i found this forum, i have been able to see that little metal rod for a while, but it never made the square button sticky, until i spilt some lucozade(fizzy drink) onto my psp. now the square button is very sticky. I push it down and it takes like 2 seconds to pop back up. i want to know how to fix it but i have never took a psp apart before. please help because its affecting my gameplay : (.
