When I backup these movies on any program & include the menu, the move remains blank for approx. 30 seconds on DVD player. Then the menu or the movie plays. If I backup movie w/o menu everything works fine. Any ideas????

You don't say what programs you have used. Have you tried RipIt4Me? It removes all useless and unreferenced files.

you're ripping fine; i don't see a problem there at all, as you're able to backup and view your movies. the problem seems to lie in whatever program you're encoding with and possibly burning with; which would those be?

That is the protection, try running the file through VobBlanker after your rip, this will remove the blank and unreferenced cells. Then you can use whatever program you use to compress and then burn it.

I had A problem With RV, I tried everything!! so I went and got a different disk. Copied perfectly with DVDshrink, and AnyDVD ! I also have Nero7. If that helps. Just keep your AnyDVD updated and you should be ok.
