I ripped a movie on DVD Decrypter without any problems, but when I tried opening it on DVD Shrink, it wouldn't recognize any .vob files. Even when I looked at the movie folder on my computer, the .vob files couldn't be opened because they weren't recognized. What do I do to solve this? Appreciate all suggestions.

Hi aseb1986
When you ripped with decrypter did you do a full backup or just movie only? If you did movie only you'll need to open the files in 'reauthor' mode in Shrink.
Which movie is it?

Ok it may be the movie depending on what protection it has on it so try one of these 2 ways - all programs are free.

RpitIt4Me - uses shrink and decrypter also:

DVDFab Decrypter/Vobblanker/Shrink:

If I use these programs, will I have to rip the DVD again or can I use the already ripped files to burn the DVD?

Thank you

You might be able to use the one decrypter ripped w/ the VobBlanker way.

RipIt4Me you would need to rerip.

You might also want to try running FixVTS on those VOB files on your hard drive.

What movie is this?

binkie, I used DVDFab and it worked perfect. The movie opened fine with DVDShrink. It seems my problems are solved. Thank you so much for your assistance.
