I am interested if there are any programs that allow you to exchange files from one computer to another once the ip address of a computer has been entered. My friend and i are wanting something that can do this cus all we have right now is msn to transfer files, which is rather akward.

There isn't, but you could always use soulseek, or bittorrent.

You can also use windows as an FTP server as well. Install IIS from Add/Remove programs, set up an FTP site, forward port 21 from your router and transfer away. Make sure you set up security on the FTP site though, as there are crawlers out there that look for undecured FTP sited to mess with.
