Hey everybody, recent HDTV buyer and first time poster here.

I picked up a Sony Bravia (40" kdl 40S2000) so far so good. Football and HDTV is a match made in heaven.

One problem that I've encountered is that the picture goes blank when I change from regular def to the hi def channels on my provider (which is verizon- I got thier FIOS fiber connection)

Ive got to turn the set off, then back on to get the picture.

Happens about 30% of the time.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

According to some of the reviews from Amazon, it seems like a glitch with the HDMI input causing the signal loss after switching between the standard and HD channels. Your not the only one that's having that problem

Yeah I've noticed it too. Ever since I went from composite cables from HD box to TV, to HDMI to TV.

It only happens when I turn the HD box & TV together though.

Could be my HD DVR.

For me to get a picture, I have to start something that was recorded on my DVR. Then stop it & exit, then the picture comes up.
