I've checked your log and it looks fine, except few things. RPC1 forum reported that you have the current firmware.

Quote:
Nero API version: 6.0.0.0

According to my knowledge, the last version from Nero 6, which is Nero 6.6.0.18 (package 1 & 2 only) is the best and most reliable for Nero 6. Get nero's Clean Tool and get rid of your current Nero 6, then install or update to the latest Nero.

Here's PACKAGE 1 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe
and here's PACKAGE 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

This is odd, it should have gave you the MB sizes (i.e. 4400MB or 4465MB, etc.)

The above errors showed that your burner doesn't like the media. I know Ritek is good, but I've seen more and more Ritek failures than any of the top notch (1st class) media. Try to use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or Maxell (Made In Japan by Hitachi Corp.) for your next DVD burning project.

Below is a successfully burned log taken from mine (Nero 7.5.1.1), you can compare mine to yours and see if you'll notice any differences.

alkohol,

Thank you so much for your help! I've had problems with Memorex before... but I guess I got a bad batch of Fujifilm this time around. I didn't realize the problems started when I changed packages. I bought 2 spindles of Fujifilm at the same time and the first one was fine so it didn't click when the problems started... I was afraid my burner was dying.

Anyways, tried it on an extra RW I had kicking around and it worked just fine. I'll switch brands and try again.

Thanks again,

Nat

And the Maxell stop burning at around 62%-70%. Is it still a media problem or is my burner dead/dying? Or am I doing something else wrong?

Looks like you have not updated your Nero yet and used the same blank media for both attempts:

From your first log:

From your second log:

Here are the update links that I have for Nero, the same ones alkohol posted:
Update Nero from here, both packages
Package 1:
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Ner....0.18_no_yt.exe

Package 2 :
http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

I try and avoid Memorex. Some do work but the ones identified as CMC-MAG are generally troublesome. I guess you might be buying your DVDs locally which can really limit your choices. Most will carry Verbatim, which is an excellent brand. I buy my T-Ys online which is usually a lot cheaper than Office Depot, etc.

@alkohol,
I've been using Nero's latest and greatest without problems. Glad to see I'm not the only one using it. Other than the fact that Nero seems to think you should let it run everything,.... I like it.

I can't update Nero, I'd have to buy a new copy... so I'll look into that.

However, I'm curious as to why all the media I am using is being identified as "Ritek". I swear the brands I have been using are Memorex, Maxell and Fujifilm. I thought the first time my Fujifilms were just manufactured by some company called "Ritek"... but now all of them are saying that... doesn't make sense to me.

They didn't have Verbatim, but I'll go somewhere else and see if I can get those.
