Noob here. I've heard good stuff about Nero 6.6 from the web. Will it format my CD-RW? (My PC bundle's B's Recorder Gold isn't working at the mo. I have a wininet.dll file missing on my PC.)
Plz let me know soon, so I can copy all my data and other files onto my CD-RW. If this program won't, then let me know which program will, so I can Google a search for it, and download it.
Ok, I wrote this because I'm confused, to say the least, about CD-RWs and the formatting/burning process. I'd really appreciate your guidance:
1) My OS is Win Xp Home Ed. -- is a formatter within XP itself. I got, in my PC bundle, as I explained earlier, B's Recorder software (made by LG) -- is formatting within that software, or do I use XP's own.
2) I've heard of Nero 6.6. People have raved about it in the past. Would that program format my CD-RW? (If so, would you recommend it over B's Recorder, and why?) Is InCD built into Nero 6.6? (Because I've heard conflicting reports saying that XP has its own InCD and that XP's InCD should be used.)
3) If I use Nero 6.6, what would I need to disable in XP?
Please help us out. As I said in my first post, I have a wininet.dll file prob, and will prob need to reformat my hard drive, which means I'll lose all info unless I copy my music and audio files onto media.
Needless to say, as a noob, I want a simple solution. I'd like to avoid firmware updating, if at all possible. Just want a quick solution to coying data files onto CD-RW media.
You don't need to disable anything,
you shouldn't install InCD, choose custom install and deselect the InCD program from Nero.
if possible, and you have your serial number, install this version of Nero 6.0, this is the most stable and reliable so far.
