I've been using DVD Shrink for quite a while now and it's a good program. It decrypts most DVDs but I was wondering if this is normal or not. For me, it usually takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours and 30 minutes to burn a DVD. Is there a way it can go any faster? Or do I have to change some settings for it to go faster? How long does it take you guys to burn DVDs using DVD Shrink?

Without "Deep Analysis + AEC + Maximum Smoothness," I'm usually done within 30 - 50 minutes for transcoding, depending on how big is the movie. With Deep Analysis + AEC + Max Smoothness, it's anywhere from 1:25 - 1:45 for me depends on how high is the compressions needed.

That's why I prefer Nero Recode over DVD Shrink. Both created by the same guy, but my choice is Recode, it's much faster, nearly 2 times faster than good ole DVD Shrink.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

also make sure your drives/burners are in DMA mode and NOT in PIO mode that will cause a major slow down. you can check that in device manager. and if it is in PIO mode alkohol has a guidein his profile how to fix it

I'm in the same boat as alkohol. With all those settings, depending on the size of the movie, it'll take anywhere from 80 minutes to 35 minutes. For DVD5s, it'll take under 10 minutes.

Keeping everything updated and in check helps out these times.
