Hi,
Firstly ive been a ps2 freak for a while now, but Ive been given an Xbox so my attention has turned onto this.

1) I have a V1.3, and was wondering how easy\difficult it was to install the Xecuter 2.6 CE chip into the Xbox. Also is it worth getting the solderless adapter? Is it any good??

2) My xbox doesnt work on my TV which only takes 50hz, it works fine until I put a game in, then I get to rolling screen. Xbox, Game and TV are all PAL. Anyway to change the output to 50hz as it must be outputting at 60hz.

3) To duplicate an Xbox game, is it the same process as a ps2 games?? DVD Decrypter read\write iso??

Many thanks in advance.

Dave

1. Fairly simple. If you have any soldering experience, I suggest avoiding solderless adapters. It's much easier than chipping the PS2. Good chip choice by the way.

2. Once you mod it, just go into the hacked dashboard settings and set it to PAL in the region settings. I have no idea how you'd go about it with an unmodded Xbox though.

3. There's a bit more to it than that. Basically, you have to transfer the game from the Xbox to the PC since PCs can't read Xbox games. Then you can burn it using DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

Thanks for the replys to my questions.

When you say transfer games from xbox to pc, im guessing your talking about networking them together and using winhiip or a similar program???

Im suprised there isnt a program that can read xbox games.

Thanks
Dave

it's not that a program hasn't been designed to do it; rather, it's a physical incapability to do so.
