(IF WANT TO JUST KNOW WHAT I WANT READ LAST FEW SENTENCES PLEASE SORRY A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON IT)

Hi I am modding my ps2. But my first attempt i accidentally puled the female fan connector formt he main board and couldnt fix it in any way. Soo i bought a new one off ebay the same Model No. 39001 and the guy says it runs perfectly and everything. I turn it on it makes noisees when turning on and couldnt even play a PS1 game my PS1 of like 10 years plays in an instant. So im planning on to switch my disk drive with that one if thats the only problem becuse my prev PS2 ran like a beast. But i get in there and the guy does not know how to cover his tracks hes missing screws put wrong screws in. Wow w/e screws i have them to replace and fix. But im lok down at it all open and it does not look like mine and its extremely dirty and I played mine forever! it wasn't this dirty sooo to go to the point is there a identification model model on the main board to see if it is even a V7 39001 PS2 if not ooh this guys in for it. If need more specifics please ask.

as far as I know, there is no spacific markings on the board to tell you what version it is, so you would have to go by visuals and if it doesn't look like a v7 then it's not. You should try and return it if you can, regardless if it's a v7 or not since the guy said it runs perfectly (this is exactly why I don't buy off ebay and I don't think I ever will heard to much shit like this) but, I'm willing to bet the guy is gonna say it worked when he shipped it and it got damaged during shipping or you damaged it.
