Ok, here's my problem. I have 2 of the older 'Chubby' PS2's, Both of whose laser no longer works. So I was talking to a friend, and he told me about HDloader. He lent me his copy of HDloader, and I went out, brought a HD and a Network adapter. And yes, I'm retarded, because the PS2 needs to read the HDloader disc, and it couldnt because the laser is shot. So, I was wonder if there is a Mod chip that I could install that would be able to just run game off of a harddrive, with out me needing to use the laser at all?

you could use dms4 or matrix infinity as I believe both have utilities that allow you to run little homebrew apps off of the memory card but, you still have to find a way to copy the files to the mem card. Look into the features of those 2 mods (I think the DMS4 even has a built in hdloader style app)

Thanks for the help. The DMS 4 Looks pretty good. I have 3 questions,how hard is it to install? And, Where do you get the memory card program, and how do you get it on the memory card?

well, I have a v12 ps2 slimline, and have ordered a matrix infinity green dot chip to install. i opened up my ps2 today, and it looks virtually impossible. Im just gonna get my teacher to do it 4 me! he has
a degree in Design and soldering.
