Hello
I just modded my Hitachi 46DG NTSC-u drive with OPA xtreme 2.1.
Just tried two burns of Saints Row PAL xbox 360 with clone cd version 5.2.8.1 at 1x with my philips 8421 with verbatim DVD's. The 360 said it was a music; file not sure if I should try another game, drive, or flash version.
This was my first burn.
ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Hey ducer. Really, you should burn at 2.4x. A couple questions.
Have you updated the firmware for your burner?
Are you selecting the .dvd file in clone cd?
How are you getting your backups? (downloading or making your own)

Hi
Will try burning st 2.4x as soon as I buy more dvd's.
I could not find a suitable firmware update for my drive.
I did select the .dvd file.
I downloaded my backup pre patched just burn and play.
Thank you

Well I just like to try and cover all the bases before I recommend spending $$$ on a new burner. It's often easy to make just the smallest mistake which leads to bad burns.
It sounds like you've got everything right.
-latest 360 firmware
-clone cd 5.2 or up (5.2.9.1. is the latest)
-verbs
-known working download
That just leaves your burner. I have read posts where ppl burnt at 1x and had problems. Really, 2.4x is perfect, and if I recall right, Memnock posted that he burns at 4x with no problems.
If you're gonna buy a new one, the burner of choice is the Pioneer DVR-111D. It burns great, bitsets automatically, and can be bought for ~$40 shipped.

Unfortunately I burnt the .iso at 2.4x with clone cd and the xbox 360 still read it as a nonplayable music file. (sigh)
What should I try next?

Just want to double check... when you download a backup and unrar it, you end up with 2 files. One is a ".dvd" file and the other is either a ".000" or ".iso".
When you go to burn with clone cd, you are selecting the .dvd file, right?

Ok just wanted to make sure you were selecting the .dvd file. It's small but it has the info that ccd need to burn with. It was just that in your last post you said the .iso.
So I guess the only thing left is your burner may need replaced.
