Has anyone here succesfully flashed the Hitachi Drive with a Nforce4 motherboard?

My computer is setup as follows

-I have a MSI KN8-Neo4 Platinum (Nforce4! sad.gif )

-60Gig SATA Hard Drive on the master SATA port with windows xp installed on that hard drive.

-A 60 and 120gig IDE drive each set to slave on channels 1 and 2 while my two DVD Burners are master on channels 1 and 2.

-I do have Windows Vista RC1 installed on the 60 IDE hard drive, just checking it out at the moment.

-The problem: In every guide i've read, my hitachi drive has to be hooked up on SATA port 1, where my windows installation is. Can I hook up the hitachi to a differen't SATA port? Can I use Windows Vista to flash the drive or will I have to install XP again on the HD that currently has Vista. This wouldn't be a huge deal but id like to avoid it if possible.

I am having trouble detecting if my computer is even noticing the drive is hooked up. The first time I tried the Slax CD method. I hooked up the xbox drive to SATA Port 2 and boot the slax cd. I didn't see anything that said ModeB but i reboot and boot into windows anyway. No new DVD drive and drive letter in My Computer. I then tried the hotswap method. My xbox360 has the Samsung drive, my friends, the one I want to flash has the hitachi. The hot swap method isn't very detailed but it seems as though all you have to do is attach the samsung drive to my motherboard, turn on windows and boom, it should show up in my computer, then switch the cord to the hitachi and flash it and im done. Well I attached my samsung drive to both SATA ports and neither read the drive. Will the connectivity kit solve this problem or is it useless if there is something wrong with my motherboard? I just don't understand how my SATA hard drive, the one that has windows installed on it works fine, but the xbox drive won't show up. I noticed my raid controller drivers aren't installed, could this be a problem? I read that you don't want it in raid, you want it in IDE. I am not sure how to do that but when I went into my Bios it said that RAID was disabled so I thought everything was fine. I hope you can help me out, cause Id like to get this done with so we both can enjoy our xboxs.

If you can't help me, no worries, I just hope I can find someone. Thanks.
