Hi all. My Pionner (.41 firmware) don't read anything. It says always "no disc inserted". What can i do? I must change firmware again?

Try using a firmware downgrade and see if it improves it

Another problem. i can't upgrade firmwares below .41. Tried the dvdupghacked but it stays more then 6 hours without results!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, do NOT get a Sony unless you want an expensive tea-cup holder and forever having problems. If your drive is screwed i highly recommend the DVR105 as a replacement.

I was gonna suggest firmware forum but I see you've already been there : http://forum.rpc1.com/viewtopic.php?t=15483&highlight=downgrading+104

I have a Pioneer 104 & am still on 1.31 X2 Ritek f/w...
