Hi
i am using TMPGEnc to change avi to mpeg. it worked fine for some avi files. picture and sound has no problem. but some files has sound problem, original is good, picture is clear and sound has a bit of noise. and one more thing, when i watch mpeg with my dvd player, the picture is only on the half of the tv screen. is there a way to fix it?

Got that all the time - then dela told me to multiplex the sound and it worked!

Hi James, sounds like you have a 16:9 movie which means no it wouldn't be very clever to stretch it so it would cover the entire screen! As for your problem, are you saying the problem is the sound comes out bad??

yep, i got bad song for some movies, but some are pretty good, for instance, Lord of the ring has 3 cds and first cd came out alright, no sound and pic problems. but in other twos, sound is abit shaky. not that i cant hear, i can still watch it,

Have you ever tried to use tooLame with TMPGEnc instead of the TMPGEnc internal encoder?>?

ok, i got the solution , so if anyone got doggy sound problem or no sound, that might be your solution, all i did was change the priority of directshow multimedia file reader. that solved my problem.
