MPT doesn't sync. SCREENSHOTS INSIDE

Hey ya all. =] I own a V323 and my dad a V3 Black. The V3 came with the usb cable, and the mobile phone tools CD. I installed the program, but I can't go past this:




It doesn't even show the clock, as it says on the manual. Then after that, it shows this:




And if I click "YES", it will take me back to the first picture, then show the error again and again.

The funniest is, if I leave that pop up for some seconds, it does this:




But doesn't work at all, takes me back to the auto setup. Bad cycle I guess.

The cable is brand new, and the MPT is the 3.0 one, win XP, motorola V323. Why is this happening?

Oh, and I'm sure this is a boring and repetitive issue, but I spent my whole night on the net yesterday trying to solve this, even wandered around other posts in this forum, that's why I posted here, I noticed people here are very helpful.
