I've been gone a loooooong time. I see that DVD Fab is no more. Is there any other free software out there to replace this? Yes I'm cheap and need free.
Thanks for all the help!

What do you mean DVDFAB is no more? I guess you've been sleeping way toooo long, lol. Anyways, here's the latest from DVDFAB Decrypter 3.0.2.0 http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm
Yep, DVDFAB is the best free ripper at the moment, in my humble opinion. It has never let me down. Way to go Fengtao.

Thanks for the update. The page I went to said it was no longer being updated or downloaded.
Curious George is running real slow. I'm at about an hour now. But it looks like it is working! :-)

Hmmm... what page? I don't know where you'd been to (i.e. the page), but the one I've provided above has been running smoothly and it updates regularly since Fengtao first introduced to the public last June 05.
I don't think DVDFAB is going to die any time soon. Fengtao has been doing an outstanding job updating this awesome tool plus his other rippers (i.e. DVDFAB Platinum, DVDIdle Pro, DVD Region+CSS Free). So you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Good luck and enjoy DVDFAB Decrypter.

Alkohol . . . all your help is great, thanks.
Could you continue your guide for the DVDFab Decrypter (newest version) to include the MAIN MOVIE back up? I looked at it and WOW. I'm not sure what to do.
Thanks!!!

@tigger27
I have not used it in a long time, I must confess. I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 predominently so never have any backup problems. I am doing a couple movies tonight, so I will use DVDFab to rip so that I can see what the opening screen is. It will be fun!
Thanks for updating me on the newer version. Is your version the free version?

The only relevant thing changed in Fab Decrypter, beside a nice new face lift, is now you can select main movie only. This is a great feature, as everyone I know, including myself, only do the movie and nothing else. All the other features you see are for the pay versions of DVDFab. I still use Shrink to compress/Decrypter as auto burn.

9mmruger1, yes this is the free version. I think it was updated 9/30/06.
oneacer - I need help with the MAIN MOVIE only screen. When I select it lots of boxes pop up but I don't know what to do after that. If you'd use it . . . clue me in.
Thanks!!

Yes, I do use it on any of the new ones that Shrink will not do. (Usually some Sony and Disney) Once "Main Movie" is selected, all you need to do is un-tick the boxes in the right side for any sub titles and any language except English 5.1 (or other English if 5.1 not available).
