please help tried unlocking this phone it was bought supposidly already unlocked but used a t mobile sim and now when i try cingular just says insert sim imei 010416001400163 tmobile

Sounds like the sim you're entering is dirty or has finger oils on it that should be cleaned off.

One option you have for unlocking is that you can check in your local area for someone that provides unlocking of hardlocked phones or check the link below:
