Can anyone advise if PS version 1's can use Swap Magic 3.6 or DVD-R copied games? I have just found a flip top for the 10 screw PS2 I have but I've seen earlier posts suggesting problems playing copied games?

No you can't boot PS1 games with Swap Magic. Swap Magic is only for PS2 games. You can use Breaker Pro, an Action Replay or lastly any retail PS1 game by stop it from spinning by hand at the PS1 splash screen and quicklu swapping it with your copied game. You risk damaging you PS2 with the last method, but it's works and you should be ok as long as you are careful. You'll still need the flip top mod for any of those methods.

He was talking about the 1st release version of a PS2.

Sorry. I read it all, I just misread it. zooom1834 gave him the right answer. Although, the title does have PS1 in it can how the question was written can be easily misinterpreted.
