A while ago I went into EB games to get an Intercooler and the guy at the counter while I was there said that his Microsoft rep. had just told him if you place the Intercooler on your 360 that you void your warenty. I decited not to buy it. I then E-Mailed Microsoft to see if that was true.
This is the responce I got from Microsoft...

I then printed out that E-Mail and went to go buy an Intercooler from EB games. When I got there the guy at the counter told me that his Microsoft rep. had just told him if you place the Intercooler on your 360 that you would void your warenty.
I then puled the E-mail out of my pocket and showed it to they guy.
The guy then looked at me and said oh, we just want you to buy the fanstand thats all.
Geuss how much the fanstand was... $39.99, when the Intercooler is... $18.99
I looked at him and said you just lost a customer.
This just goes to show EB games dosen't care about ther customers.
That's sad. But I tend to agree with you. I stay away from EBGames. They actually look at every customer like they have no idea what they're talking about. One when he was asking me if I wanted to pre-order Gears of War when I told him "Oh, I don't buy my 360 games from EBGames." He asked "Why not?" I then told him "Easynews has more games than you guys and it's only pennies compared to you guys"
He asked what easynews was, I told him. Turned the tables on the guy.. Hell, he didn't even know how to hack the firmware. When I was leaving the store, I was talking to my wife and said just a little loud "These guys babe, they have no idea what something is unless they're told. Then they look at you like they're stupid. Bunch of idiot teenagers.."
You should've seen the look on that idiots face.
It doesn't take a genius to know that wouldn't void your warranty. Your not opening your 360 and there wouldn't even be any possible way to know it was even on there
I called an EBgames store here in Puerto Rico and they told me they are giving an additional 30% on trade in games, so I said nice deal. the very next day a called another EBgames store( one closer to my home) and they told me it was only a 20% additional credit on trade ins. I said to myself thats strange and hanged up, me being so curious I called back the store I called the day before and they told me that it WAS a 30% additional credit on trade ins, so I got a little pissed off and called again and asked the same question. They gave me the same answer that it was a 20% additional credit on trade ins, then I told them that's strange an ebgames store that like 10 minutes away from your store gives 30% not 20%. The guy was clueless and began mumbling something to the manager I got so pissed that I told him to "F" of and you'll never see me buy a game in that store.
