I tried backing up chicken Little for my kid and right at the end of analyzing with DVD Shrink it gives me the microsoft runtime error, early program termination. I have not had this happen to any other movie. I tried using dvd fab decrypter then DVD Shrink. Also tried ripit4me and the fixvts program. Any ideas as to why this runtime error occurred? Any fixes? thanks for the help.

I had this same exact problem... but I can't remember what it took to fix it. I think Binkie or someone else helped me out. So, rest assured the problem can be fixed just give it a day until someone who knows a whole lot more about this than I do can reply.

Did you do a forum search?

The runtime error is a copy protect error that is produced by shrink because it is unable to handle the copy protection on the disk.

This movie is very easy to backup, did it a long time ago.....;)

Get DVDfab decrypter here;
http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

Guide on using DVDFab if needed;
http://www.dvdshrink.info/dvdfab_decrypter.php

Note: you can also use DVD Decrypter in file mode to rip with.

1)Using DVDFab, rip the video files representing chicken Little to your hard drive, once it's done you should have a VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive containing the video files.

Get VobBlanker here (direct download link);
http://members.aol.com/posunplugged/jsoto/VobBlanker_2110_exe.zip

2)Run VobBlanker and load the VIDEO_TS.IFO file located in the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVDFab decrypter as shown here;

Next, choose an output folder location (ie..create a folder called chicken_little2 and then another folder within that one called VIDEO_TS, choose this VIDEO_TS folder for your output location)

Click on the Proc.All button on the right.

Last, click on the PROCESS!! at the bottom and wait for it to finish.

Run DVDshrink and open the files created by VobBlanker, click on the open files tab and browse to....chicken_little2/VIDEO_TS

Shrink should open the files and allow you to create your backup..:)

Use Anydvd and believe

DVDFab HD Decrypter (free)... http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm
