Hi,
Im a newbie, and i have read the post relating to connection issues.
I followed the instructions, yet still each and every server either times out or is dead.

My addresses.dat file is

http://ocbmaurice.dyndns.org/pl/slist.pl/server.met?download/server-max.met
http://www.fi2l.com/x1/server.met
http://www.e4file.com/x1/server.met
http://www.srv1000.com/x1/server.met

Yet the problem persists. I have switched of kazaalite and the rest.
Am using a cable connection with a cisco ethernet card.

Can anybody help me on this?

We talking about Emule here ? If so try this..

Run Emule And Clear The List Of Servers Showing, Then Click the preferences button and click Server from the list on the left side of the new window. On the right side you'll see a whole lot of checkboxs appear. Make sure there all ticked except for 1 ...

- 'Auto-update serverlist at startup'

Close Emule.

Clear all the adresses in your addresses.dat file.
Next find the file staticservers.dat and add these...
193.111.198.138:4242,0,ProbenPrinz.de
195.245.244.243:4661,0,Razorback
194.97.40.162:4242,1,Silent-Bob
193.111.198.139:4242,0,ProbenPrinz.de
207.44.222.54:4242,0,ProbenPrinz.de
38.119.96.15:4661,0,S.E.D.G * 120K USERS

These are some of the best server there are, so once you connect to one of this servers your server list is auto updated so you wan't need one of those server list links.

Now Emule Add Try Connect To A Server.

Hi,
Thanks for the help, but alas the same problem persists.
I did exactly as you said, but either timed out or sever is dead.
Only silent bob returned 'appeas to be full' - but does that occur before or after login? i think before.

Any more suggestions? im running of win2000.
Kazaa work fine, in fact gnutella and overnet also never seem to connect - i dont know why..
