I have some PAL DVD's that I need to copy without a region code.
I have been using DVD43 and Nero 7 and it fits the movie to the disk and allows me to put on only what I want. So here is my problem. How do I make it so I can use DVDShrink to remove the region code? I have downloaded but not installed DVD Decrypter_3.5, DVDShrink, XviD-1.1.0, ImgTool, and GordianKnot.RipPack as I'm not sure which I need or if they will conflict with DVD43 which runs automatic and I don't know how to "run it in the background' as I read in another post.

Open DVD Shrink and edit the movie to your liking and hit backup...under the [b]DVD Region{/b] tab tick the box that reads Region Free and your backup will have no region code on it.

"Shrink"ing a movie is a process with a few steps and a bit of set up neccessary to make it work right.
Install Shrink and then open it. Your best bet is to take a good look at it and see what it actually does.

Put in your movie.
Open Shrink.
Select the movie.
Shrink will spend a few moments analysing the movie.
A screen then opens that lets you remove extra audio languages and sub titles.
Once you have removed anything you don't want, select "Backup!" at the top.
Shrink starts the process of backing up and compressing your movie.

Once Shrink is done, close it then open Nero Burning ROM. Browse for the files Shrink made and burn them to your blank.

You can also tell Shrink to open Nero and start the burn process when the time comes.

LOCOENG & FASFRANK Many thanks I havent tried to play one of the DVD's but it was simple enough to do. The DVD's did not need decrypting and were small enough to fit without shrinking but I needed the region to be code free so I followed the prompts. and the 90 minute read and 15 minute to burn is worth it to change region code. but I will still use Nero recode 2 for backing up my region 1's as it gets the job done in a quater or third of the time. I like the step by step explanation I can't figure why I was told to get the other programs. I may need them on other DVD's so I'll leave them in the folder untill then.
Again Thanks
