Ok, well the other day I was on MSN messenger talking to some of my friends. One of them then said "go to this link, download this picture", so I did, not knowing that what he was saying was not really him. I trusted this friend so very much and I was sure it would be safe, so I downlaoded it, while downloading it, I was wondering why I would need to download an image, not just view, but at the same tiem I was distracted by other friends. After the download I opnended the file which was first titled 'pictured234' or something close to that, and once I opened it, my MSN Messenger started to act up, it was telling people to go to that same link that my friend had told me to go to and I had no way of controlling it. So I then went into the folder where the file was saved that I downloaded and removed it, and then I quickly logged off of MSN so that none of my other friends PCs would be harmed. I did a scan and found some spyware on my PC. Spyware that is called 'ADW_MEDTICKS.W' I found out that it was located in 'C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Yinstall.exe' and I tried to remove some components out of there and a few worked, but some just wouldn't remove, so with my anti-virus (Trend Micro PC-Cillin 2006) I clicked on a link for the solution on this file, and it didn't really say too much. So I downloaded a spyware scanner/remover from Trend Micro called 'Anti-Spyware : Venus Spy Trap.' It removed a few things such as pop ups that I was getting at the very start of this encounter, but I still get this annoying pop-up from Trend Micro that talks about 'ADW_MEDTICKS.W' and I've been searching FORVER on how to remove it. Any ideas, PLEASEEE, I would so much appreciate this! Sooo much. I guess I'll just be a lot more careful on installing software on my PC for now on.

Open ComboFix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply.
Note:
Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window while it's running, it may cause it to stall.
Post back with the ComboFix log and a new HijackThis log.

Hmm, sorry about that. I can't find one that works right now.
Go here to download the trial version of AVG Anti-spyware.
Install and update.
Restart your computer in safe mode(press F8 upon boot, select "Safe Mode" from menu and press Enter).
Open AVG AS and click "Scanner".
Click "Complete System Scan".
When it finishes scanning, set all items to "Quarantine".
Click "Apply All Actions".
Click "Save Report".
Click "Save report as" and save it to the desktop.
Post back with the report and a new HijackThis log.
