Please do a quick search before asking a question. A lot of times it has already been asked, and answered before.

There is a really good answer in that post already. I hope it helps you.

If you type CRC in the top search box you will probably get about 500 posts on that error. It all depends on when you actually get the error. If while ripping the original, it could be from the type encryption on the disc, it could be from scratches or damage to the original, it could be from corrupt data that will actually play OK but shows up when ripping. Thats a few reasons while ripping. If while burning, it usually is from poor, cheap quality blank media. Could also be from a burner drive that needs a firmware update or possibly from your IDE channels being in PIO mode instead of DMA. Many different reasons but those are a few.

hi :)
as has been said above, the question has arisen and been answered so many times, that my stock answer is as follows

A "CRC" error is most often caused by bad media - it could be any of the following:

1. A dirty disc,
2. A scratched disc
3. A poor quality disc (cheap media if it happens during the "Burn" section of your work)
4. A bad disc from the Mfgr.
5. It can also be due to structural copy protection on a disk.
6. It can also be from a bad optical component in your drive.
