I don't have a DVD burner yet a thought I yould first RIP a DVD in one VOB file, make a toast image and split this image in sizes of 650 Mbyte which would fit on a CD-R. However - so far I haven't found a OS-X tool to do this.
I'm wondering if anyone could advise me.

Or in case this aproach doesn't make sense,
how can I store the DVD quiality (which format ?) until I have a burner

many thanks

You don't want 1 VOB, try decoding the dvd then recoding into 700mb sessions (or just under) and then burning the cd's haven't done this myself. the alternative is to convert to, say SVCD. I did one to 3 cd's ages ago with excellent quality.

that info should be somewhere on this forum (use toast)
