Need beginner help with getting SNES9X GX to work

Okay, I've tried using DreamSNES on the Dreamcast to play SNES games but the games are unplayable due to the extreme amount of slowdown and frameskip.
Anyway, I read on various sites that SNES9X GX is an awesome emulator for the Gamecube. What i need is info on what I need in order to get the emulator working.
I read that a Gamecube with a ModChip will save me a lot of trouble. If I order a Gamecube with a ModChip already installed, would I need to purchase any other accessories or would everything else i need be available for download off the internet? Also, what ModChip should i have installed in the 'Cube if this will make things easier?
Lastly, what files and downloads would I need to get everything working? Is there a tutorial anywhere for getting SNES9X GX to work on a Modded 'Cube? Thanks.

If you get a premodded GameCube with the intention of playing SNES9X GX on, it, don't get a XenoGC or DuoQ since they don't work with most homebrew.
I recommend getting either a qoob Pro/SX or ViperGC Extreme. The qoob SX being the cheapest, with the ViperGC Extreme being the most expensive.

There's a guide on modthatcube that describes how to make a readable DVD that you can use to burn SNES9X GX along with some roms so that you'll be able to play them.

Thank you very much. So once I get the Modded 'Cube, everything else I need will be available via download off the internet? And also, will I be able to put everything all together on one DVD or do i need to make one DVD for roms and another DVD acting as the bootdisk to start up the emulator?
Also, could I use a SONY brand DVD+R or should I go out and buy some mini-DVD+R's from... i forget what brand was mentioned in a different thread.... inDATA or something like that.

Hey, also, I don't need to connect my Gamecube to my computer or anything like that, do I? Or do anything of that sort?

Ideally, you would burn the emulator and roms onto a single mini DVD-R.
Get some RiDATA mini DVD-Rs and you should be fine. No need to connect to the PC or anything.

Last question: Is buying an already modded gamecube the best option, or are there easier and cheaper ways of getting a burned DVD disc with the SNES9X emulator and ROMS on it to play on the Gamecube?

Also, i see that qoob sx is much cheaper than qoob pro. I'm buying a pre-modded Gamecube mainly for being able to run emulators on it. Is there any reason why i would want to pay the extra money for the qoob pro over the qoob sx?

As I recall, the qoob Pro's advantage over the SX is that it has a USB port that can support USB flashing of firmware and that it has 16 megabits (2MB) of onboard memory for applications and skins. Unless you plan on flashing the emulator straight to the mod chip and only burning the roms onto DVD-Rs, then there's no reason for you to pay extra for the Pro. I have a qoob Pro myself, and I can honestly say that for most people it's overkill.
As far as loading DVD-Rs on GameCube, yes there are cheaper ways to do it. However, they are much more difficult to set-up due to the scarcity of necessary hardware.
Are you going to be playing any GameCube games, or are you just going to use it for emulation? I only ask because Xbox works much better for emulation than the GameCube because of the built-in hard drive and the ease of use.

I'd probably play a few games like Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 4, Zelda, etc.
I do own an X-Box, but all of the tutorials i read were extremely confusing. Is there an easy way to run XSNES9X on the X-Box?

It's very easy to set up on Xbox. All you need is either a soft modded or hard modded (mod chip) Xbox and then you just transfer ZsnexBox to the hard drive along with all the roms and such.

Good to know you're checking out some of the GameCube exclusives. A lot of people missed out on them because they considered the GameCube "kiddy."

Hm, do i need x-box live or broadband to do the softmod? I don't have either of those, nor does my system have a mod chip installed.

No, just whatever's listed in that soft mod guide. Meaning, an AR, one of the three games (SC, MA, or 007), the 5960 dashboard, and an ethernet cable. If you don't have an AR or any of the games and don't wish to buy those, you may be better off with a chip. The AR can also be substituted with a memory card if you have a way of getting SID onto it, such as a friend with a modded Xbox.
