Transfer the programs if needed.
Download SmitfraudFix.zip to the desktop from here
* Extrat the files to the desktop.
* Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
* Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
* Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
* You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
* The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
* A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt.
Restart in normal mode.
HijackThis is running from a temp folder.
C:\DOCUME~1\STEPHE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX13.969\HijackThis.exe
Create a folder in C: named HjT and move the exe there.
Run a new scan and post the log along with the contents of rapport.txt.

Oh my...you was and still are infected very bad! Worst I've seen in a while! If that were my computer, I'd reformat the HD and start over. That's the safest thing to do.
Win32.VB.dw has infected every .zip file in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Stephensons\Complete. It has dropped VB.lu to every .exe file in the Shared folder. Bagle has taken over alot! Downloaders, dialers, and trojans everywhere!
These two programs will not rid all of them, some we will have to delete manually, but we'll see what they can do first.
Go here to download the trial version of AVG Anti-spyware.
Go here and download Micorsoft's Malicious Antivirus.
Install Malicious Antivirus and run a scan in normal mode.
Then install and update AVG AS.
(if you have to use safe mode with networking to update, do so)
Restart your computer in safe mode(press F8 upon boot, select "Safe Mode" from menu and press Enter).
Open AVG AS and click "Scanner".
Click "Complete System Scan".
When it finishes scanning, set all items to "Quarantine".
Click "Apply All Actions".
Click "Save Report".
Click "Save report as" and save it to the desktop.
Post back with the AVG AS report and tell if Malicious AV found anything.

That's one choice. There are many tutorials on ways of reformatting so it's not very hard.
Let's try cleaning first, unless you want to reformat...?

Yes, Windows will be deleted. You'll have to reinstall it.
You'll have more luck researching for yourself. Look here and here.
There are literally thousands of tutorials on how to reformat a HD and reinstall Windows.
Good luck! :)

Hey, i've been looking around and i found in the manual i got with my dell coomputer that it has a "Dell PC restore". it says that it reestores the hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer. it deletes all data on hard drive. Would this option be as good as manually reformatting the hard drive.

@stevo
In HP machines it's called the recovery partition, basicly it automates the reformat instead of using disks so yes it is the same as a manual install tho it is automatic, one thing make sure before reconnecting to the net that you have a firewall enabled and then go directly to microsoft and update the OS,then update all other software, you can cruise to cnet for free firewalls and antivirus software (free in you make no payments what so ever) i.e
AVG antivirus-free version
Zonealarm-free version
You have norton antivirus installed but from factory built machines it is only a 1-3 month trial version after which you have to pay a yearly sub which i suspect is why you have been infected in that it has stopped updating,if you decide to remove norton you must go to their site and download their removal tool as using add/remove will not work properly
ps-you can use the laptop to burn a firewall and antivirus to a rom then install both that way before connecting to net
