This is a semi restriced topic, so don't be a noob and post something off limits...
Anyway, I am very angered at the fact that no torrents work! Like, the only torrents that even begin to work are those that are just 'Trial' versions of the game! It makes me soo mad... sure I could BUY the game, but I don't want to. Well I guess if I don't find a reliable source soon, I will have to buy the games :(

This will probubley get closed because you are talking about piracy and you obviousley don't know anything about how torrents work, and i'm glad about that because you want to pirate games. If you buy the game the manufactures will have more profit and will make more and could be better games.

tocool4u: in my opinion, some companes *need* to be ripped off. they frickin' deserve it. ^.^
mike: it's for him to express his frustration with torrents, as he can't make them work any better.

You could always wait until the games go $5 - $10. Popular games take a while, but most games get there within a month or so. Or, if you have friends, just buy one copy and split it. Then take turns playing or whatever.
BTW, you should do some research on torrents before complaining. They are actually quite good. I will probably release my original music, games, and movies through torrents (when I finish that is) because it is an easy way to share your stuff.

You obviously don't have it configured, make sure you know where the files are going, get a good client like uTorrent, limit your upload to 80% make sure you have a high speed connection (broadband), make sure you know where the downloaded files are going, make sure the torrent is not registered with a private tracker which you are not registered with.
You can get mich faster speed on trackers such as torrentleech.org you get most of the new stuff there. But the site is closed - invites only.

I did! i have DSL, so thats not a problem! And i know where they download to. Thansk for the info though!

How about firewalls you are running? Have you forwarded the ports? And does your ISP block BitTorrent traffic?

Forwarded ports: I dont know... (i dont even know what that is)
ISP: I also dont know... I dont think so (Deutsch Telecom? [T])
Um, I do not think that it is blocked... because all of the 'Try then buy' games work on the downloads... none of the full ones though....

That's the problem! Without opening the required port(s), you can't even dream of downloading via. bittorrent.

Try Azureus. it has a wizard mode to install and it is simple to use for someone new to BT.

Also, don't forget to get the Java Runtime. It is on the same page that you download Azureus.
When you install, it will give you a forward port. Just click OK since it is already at a good value.
Also, when downloading torrents, get torrents that have some seeds or at least a lot of leechers... If you get a torrent that no one is sharing, then you will not be able to download the files you want.
Remember to set a limit on your upload speed. Take your upload connection and divide by 12. For instance, I have a 1500/384 connection. This means my MAX upload is 384 kilobits per second. Now, when I divide by 12, I get 32 kilobytes per second. This is an effecient upload speed and will not slow down my downloads.
When you are seeding, meaning, you are only uploading, you might as well set it to unlimited. There are special rules you can use for seeding.
