afgun,
I could use a little more description. Can you get the computer to come on at all? Are you technically inclined enough to tell me if there are any overheating problems? Is your Processor fan running? Can you get to the BIOS?

What OS are you running? If you are running XP and have an original XP disk then you can do a repair on the OS.

Open your case and make sure your fan is running on your processor. Also make sure the fan on the back of the machine is running.

It is really hard to say without being there. I had a machine do that to me and I thought it was my power supply. When I went to buy the power supply I bought a new M'board as well. It ended up being the old M'board that was the problem. If you are not technically inclined to replace the stuff yourself, then you may have to take it to a computer repair place. They can troubleshoot the problem and let you know what the price will be to repair it.

I don't know what kind of processor you have. If you find out what kind of processor it is then you can do a search for a M'board that will work with your processor if that is the problem.

Do you have a copy of your OS?

Well, depending on the age of your computer you may be able to find one that the processor will work in. That is if your processor did not overheat! Sometimes replacing a M'board requires replacing the processor. After you do that you will have to update your OS (opperating system) because your current HD (hard drive) will not recognize the new BIOS (basic input output system). It's not as easy as some make it out to be. You may be better off either getting a new system, or taking your current system to a repair tech.

Good Luck!

It is a hardware problem m8, disconnect the power and take the side of the case off and try re-seating the memory, gfx card ect. Sometimes a bad contact causes error beeps m8.
