my ps2 is v7. i've had it probably since 2002 or 2003. most games i burnt nowadays loads very slow. right now im playing ffxii and it loads slow. i know one reason why it loads slow is the media i used. another reason is my lens. probably been used up a lot over time. i've already tried cleaning with the alcohol.

can i adjust the white cog wheel to make it load better for my games or is there no hope for my slow loadings? thank you.

You could try that, but a major help would be burning to good quality media.

Yeah, I burned it to a Verbatim 16X DVD+R and it's KINDA slow. But nothing to keep you from the experience!

And yes, wiping the lens with a alcohol-dipped q-tip does help ALOT.
