ps2 swapmagic wont read cd loader help plz

i recieved today my order of ps2 fliptop and ps2 slim fliptop with swap magic and i installed the fliptops on both my ps2. try the slim dvd loader plays backups (great) cd loader plays emulators good aswell. then with my fat ps2 dvd loader plays great but cd loader doesnt even load. the playstation acts as theres no cd in it. and i have 2 cd loaders ( i bought 2 sets) and they both dont work.l

did this happen to anyone else. can someone give me a little pointer.

and also my slim ps2 works but cant play IMBNes cd ( and on the imbnes website it says works with ps1 and 2 ) when i laod it with SM it says not a valid ps2 disc.

can someone help please

I dont know about the CD/DVD loade issue, but it could be related to what versions of the swap disks you have. You may also want to check your Ps2 laser... and do the "little white knob" method.

I do know what the deal is with the other problem- Ps1 disks, which normally work on ps2, do not work with Ps2 swap disks- you'll need Breaker Pro to play copied ps1 games on ps2. So, even though a ps1 game will work on ps2 just fine, which is what the website says, a backup requires a different boot disk. So, go buy breaker pro, it works with the flip top case.

the swapmagic is brand new the newest version out. and my laser is fine it reads everything. But the SM cd loader doesnt load. I reset the ps2 a few times and i got it to load once but when i do it again it doesnt work. It seems to be working only when it wants to. Whats up with that?

Anyone having the same problem?

(the dvd loader starts up fine and my back-ups play no problem.)

I assume you mean that you bought version 3.8
Search these forums and see, the 3.8 version is very buggy and dosen't work very well. You should have bought the older 3.6 swap magic disks, they work much better. If you have version 3.8 (CODER) then your problem is most likely caused by it. Try verson 3.6 .

my bad i meant newest version of SM normal not the coder. 3.6 is what i have. I have to start it up a few times before the cd loader actually decides to load. and on my slim ps2 it loads up instantly.

i would apreciate it if someone could give me a little pointer to what i should do or be doing..
