HI,im after help with my ps2 model 39003 .laser not reading disc,s properly works beeter when cold as well ,tryed usally turning laser adjustment etc,in the end put new laser inn ,still have same problem,
sometimes won,t read cd or dvd disc,s,what does it mean d drive? PLEASE HELP

Did you recalibrate the new laser when you fitted it into your PS2?

You shouldn't be having Disk Read Errors(DRE's)
If you have installed a New laser to your system

My only guess would be that the laser needs to be re-calibrated and check to see that there are no scraches on the lens

there is a chance that the laser you got may be a dud and just not work at all, if you can try to exchange the laser for another one

thanks guys for info ,got ps2 working fine on cd ,but will not load any dvd games now,i have replaced laser and now getting the same result,any more info PLEASE
