Can someone explain my ps2 graphics glitch?

Im experiencing some wierd graphics glitches with a few of my ps2 games.

first thing to say is that although my ps2 is chipped these titles are all originals and that all my other games work perfectly. (so its not a disc reading error)

the easist way to explain is to show the problem so ive provided some links

I recently bought "just cause" but have found that a lot of the
textures seem to be messed up (SEE ABOVE LINKs)

I also experienced somthing similair with the last two "hitman" games and with "freedom fighters" . these 3 titles are unplayable the games load fine but when you start its as if the camera is inside the main charachter so your viewing the poloygons that make up his head. (again , hard to explain see link below)

not sure if its related but some but not all eye toy games have a problem where it will load and i can see myself onscreen but there is no icons

I have an older model of ps2 so i dont know if there is a compatibility problem with newer games. i`ve tried searching for similair problems on the internet but couldn't find anything
any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated.all my other games work fine so its a bit strange

PS.I should probably add that the games work on other peoples consoles so its not a case of having some duff copies
