Hi guys,

Hopefully someone can help me withthis. I've just purchased Swap Magic 3.6 to play a backup US game on my UK PS2. When trying t ouse it I follow this routine;

+ Insert SM. Wait till load program shows up.
+ Use slide card to open tray, place game inside.
+ Use slide card to close tray
+ Press X to load the game.

However, it alway scomes up with "Not a Valid PS2 disc".

Any ideas? I don't think its my laser as other DVD games work fine. The disc itself work on my friend's machine with a chip in it, so that should be fine.

If you are trying to play a cd (not a dvd), probably it has in it more than 700 Mb of data (is possible put 800 in a cd)and the swap magic can´t hold it, with the modchip there´s no problem, it reads the cd.

I recently got the Swap disk 3.6. I kept getting the error message Not a Valid PS2 disc. I was ripping the .iso files to a DVD+RW, while geting this error message. I tried playing some regular DVD+RW's that I ripped. None of them would play. I threw in a DVD+R and it played fine. I went back and made a copy of my Socom 3, burnt the .iso file to a DVD+R, and the DVD+R worked, I can now play the copy..... Very Happy!! So, I think you have to burn the .iso files to a DVD+R only?
Hopefully this helps? Good luck....

When you have a game in a bad media, and it doesn´t work, or is too slow when loading screens, etc... most of times is enough copy the game from the bad cd or dvd to a good ones. The best that i found were TDK, Verbatim and Traxdata. Maxell is crap,works one in ten tries.
And, don´t know why, my ps2 doesn´t like DVD+R, even if is a good brand.
