Norton Virus protection update

I have Norton Virus protection but when I tried to upload the new updates they have an error message. also on the weekly scan I get this error message. It is the error message LUALL.exe only part of a readprocessmemory or write processmemory request was complete. Could anyone help me with this error message. thanks for the help

Which version of NAV do you use?
Also, did you try repairing your installation, or reinstalling completely?

ihave norton antivirus 2005 and keep getting the updates. I tried the auto fix tool but that didn't work. I really didn't or know how to re installed the product. any help with greatly appreciated. thanks

Download and run the 'norton removal tool' from here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Norton_Removal_Tool_SymNRT_d4749.html

This will completely uninstall -all- norton products from your computer. After that, install NAV the way you had installed it the last time (from the CD or from the downloaded setup file)

That topic refers to NAV 2007, but the same steps apply for the 2005 version.

I had remove norton antivirus 2006 from my cpu and reinstall it. after finishing the reinstallation and rebooting of 2006 the same message appeared again. what seem to be the problem? thanks

Unless you have paid for that crap, I suggest you switch to another one.

I have a year to go on the subscription. I will have to email norton themselves. it is frustrating. any other suggestion will be greatly appreciated. thanks

He he, If you don't already know this, their subscription system is stupid. If you format your PC and reinstall everything, you will get your entire subscription back. I do it all the time

I am not going to reformat the whole pc. there has to be a solution. I know dump Norton piece of crap. I will email their support.
