I did a search and found some similar items, but I didn't see anything that quite answered my question. So, if someone would please help I'd appreciate it.

It reads CD-Rs and Audio CDs fine, but won't recognize blank media. It will, however, read the exact same CD after something has been burned onto it. Troubleshooting says the device is working properly and doesn't give any choices regarding blank media.

and btw the OS is Win2000

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
