guys again got confused with matrix infinity

i am unable to save my settings in the configuration menu of matrix infinity (v1.82) whenever i change any setting for ex:-color fix
and try to save it gets stuck and i have to reset the console and none of my settings are saved
hideki06(afterdawn member) said i require a memory card inserted to save settings (he is a good guy:) )

i am not sure that my modchip is fake or real i dont know as i bought premodded i came to know that everyone with fake modchip ruined there console only when they saved there settings ,is that so ? and also iam able to access the menu always during booting by pressing triangle and circle
guys therefore iam afraid to save settings with mem card inserted
plz help me hope u may decieve something from what information i have given to u and help me thanxxx in advance plz do post reply ..........(scph75004 v14 slim PAL)

you did not need to start a new thred for this you could've just continued with your first one. As far as I know people with fake MI chips don't ruin the mod by saving settings to a memory card but, ruin it when they try to upgrade the firmware on the chip to a newer version.

The thing is is that Razor doesn't yet have a memory card to save stuff. So thats one problem solved right there.

WEStar-What about all those fake Matrix chip threads (Modbos, Matrix Infinity SEs etc) from about a year ago where they acessed their settings, saved it, and their chip got fried straight off? I will acknowledge that fakes get fried when you update them with real firmware though.

Razor-You should be able to access the menu by pressing Triangle+Circle rapidly as the PS2 boots up. Just a little heads up-the Matirx Infinity will not load PSX games without a PS2 memory card inserted. If you don't have one, it'll hang. Once its gone to the game though, feel free to switch to PSX memory cards.

the main thing why i was confused was it is said that the mi chip has 512kb flash memory then why it needed memory card but now its all clear thank u guys hedeki&westar

never heard about that and that's why I said from what I know they fry after upgrading the firmware so, thanks for the info hideki.
