Help burning Lord of the Rings The return of the king

I desperately need to back up my original disk of the movie Lord of the Rings the Return of the King. I just finished backing up the first 2 movies but only got to 37% analysing on Return of the king before getting the error message DVDShrink failed to read File H:\ Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I am running windows XP Media Edition
I use AnyDVD version 6.0.8.0

Try using AnyDVD with DVD_Decrypter.

CRC errors can mean the disc is dirty or scratched. Try cleaning it real well, and you may want to rip it to the hard drive prior to running it through shrink. You have AnyDVD, so use the ripper and set up a folder for the movie, and rip it to that folder. Then back up using shrink.

Could also be a bad press from the factory...if cleaning doesn't bring you joy, you might consider returning for a replacement.
