please help i have my xbox modded right i have unleash x dashboard on it and i cant FTP into my xbox this timed out message is getting on my nerves i went into tcp ip control nad set to 192.168.0.4 and subnet mask 255.255.255 do i fill in the default gate way to im using a cat5 rj45 and i saw another reader was having the same problem but got connected and was able to FTP into his exbox using his router im running at 100 mega hops and i got my xbox ip set up at 192.168.0.3 and subnet mask at 255.255.25.0 default gateway is at 192.168.0.1 and dns server is at 192.168.2.100 im confufesed another reader said a cat5 is only for connecting two computers isint an xbox basically a computer one article sais to use a crossover its a common mistake not to and anothe one sais not to use one with FTP i keep getting timed out do i fill in gateway at tcp ip properties in my pc and reboot i can change it back to origanal pc ip address im getting very frustrated one article sais to do one thang and another article sais to do another thing i dont know what im doing wrong

if ur ip addy is 192.168.1.100...then ur xbox ip will be 192.168.1.101, or 192.168.1.102. .both should work, and ur sun mask, should be set the same
