Hi

First of all, every time I set my date and time in the dashboard, the 360 does not save it next time it boots up. The date goes back to the default one and time is 1200. Secondly, recently, when i switch my console off, it will turn itself back on about 1 min - 2 min later. If i then turn it back off, it will be fine. ???

hmm sounds liek something might be wrong with the bios which is not saving the time and date.... what you could try is use a vacuum and suck out the dust thru the back... it could be shorting out the motherboard...

make sure you dont unplug it... if you unplug it it will reset it

for the restarting thing it seems like there may be something causeing ti to short or what you cn do is take off the faceplate and see if the faceplate isnt broken or anything... or the dust or dirt in it could be shorting out the motherboard causing it to short it out

thats all i can think of

I have a couple of ideas for ya.

1. The internal battery has died. Just like a computer, the motherboard contains a battery that stores the time, date and bios settings. You will probably have to break the 360 down to the motherboard to see and fix it. If you still have a warrenty, send it back of microsoft.

2. The power supply could be going out.

My Warranty is void

About the power supply going out, I do have an intercooler addon fan at the back of my 360. Dunno if you have one, but u plug the power cable in through that and the cable has to plugged in exactly right for the power to come on. So maybe when I turn the 360 off, it is getting disturbed. Either way, its only the date and time, am not too bothered

I had issues w/ that, and then had to send in my 360 for repair since it started freezing during initial load screen.
