damn im happiar then a retard at chucky cheeses i finally got a fricken break threw today i went to circuit city and baught me a cat 6 net work cable cost 20 something bucks suggested by a very nice guy in computer department new what he was taling about was a cat 6 network cable 7 ft cable for working with routers the guy told me to download file zilla at source fourge dot net and it worked just google filezilla and go to the one that sais source forge dot net ok heres how i got my into my xbx after many attemps hope this helps the rest of you i was very frustrated until no the correct ip u type in is the one at the bottom of the screen on your xbox dash at boot up in my case it was 192,168.1xxxxx whatever it sais type in and go to net work settings and make sure u have this typed in your ip setteings i have mine set to static with a dhcp at the dash screen using unlease dashboard cool huh use the settings like this first go to system then setting and network make sure u have an ip showing at the top this is your computer address 192.168.whatever then make sure network is set to yes click static address and type in 192.168.0.3 and make sure subnet is 255.255.255.0 then gate way .192.168.0.1 then type in dns server 192.168.0.1 same nubmer as default gateway then dns two should be 192.168.0.7 save settings reboot then go to filezilla open it and go to edit the go to settings and proxy settins under that click use direct connections (no proxy )and go to quick connect after hitting ok at bottom left then type in the ip address at bottom left hand corner of your xbox dash and type xbox for user xbox for password and port 21 and bam u should be connected and then download the files but make a folder somewhere and save it safe hope this helps everyone yours truly darth mod
