I converted a VHS movie to mpg2 format. It is a 2 hours movie, the file is over 4.7G on HD. How can i splitt the movie in half to be able to fit on 2 DVD-R? Which software do i have to use to do this?

Why not just compress it slightly?? Did you use TMPGEnc DVD Author to produce a DVD compliant set of files? If so, then load them into a program like DVD Shrink to compress them to around 4.38GB so it will fit on a DVD R
