okay heres my prob i rip the dvd then open it in DVD2AVI and then save it as an dv2 file then i try to open it in the TMPGEnc but it wont let me it says its no supported
what am i doing wrong can anyone help me

okay thnx i did what it said in that old post and d/l the new software and it worked but it was only the first 6 min of the movie so then i tried it with a different dvd and it wouldnt work again it did the same thing...
is there an easy way to just get them as a file on your computer


i rip the dvd
open it in DVD2AVI save it as a dv2. file
then try to open it in TMPGnc

very weird u only getting 6 mins of the movie, you did make a completely new d2v file? as the one you made before definately wont work, and what exactly do you mean "is there an easy way to just get them as a file on your computer"????

[edit] you could try setting the source range in TMPGenc to make sure its reading the whole film but that doesnt sound like the problem.

hi

are you using tmpgenc or tmpgenc plus?

oh and what OS you useing? as xp dont mix i think?

but right click .exe and run in compatibility mode as win2000 or win98 !!!

i did this!

@gkid, I didn't notice which DVD2AVI you are using (my apologies) but I suggest you try 1.76 as i've recieved a lot of emails regarding bugs with later versions.
