But I'm looking for some instruction for backing up my 360 games.
I do not want to have to connect my X-Box 360 DVD player to read orginal disks
I have a the following pices in place and working on my PC.
1 - Samsung SH-D162C with Kreon 0.81 Firmware loaded.
1 - Pioneer DVR111D flashed with lastest Firmware.
1 - PC with a AMD-3200 processor with 2 Gigs of RAM.
25- Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4X media 8.5GB.
Install your Samsung SH-D162C Drive in your pc or an external case
Download schtrom360xtract from here:
http://www.xbox-scene.com/tools-xbox360.php Run schtrom360xtract,
when the dialog box comes up select where you want your game image to be saved (Image Path)
and then click on extract
this will now create the game image for burning
Download and install clonecd
open clone cd and select the 2nd option across write from image file
and click on it.
select the image file that you created earlier that has the file extension .dvd and click next. Now select your pioneer dvd drive
and click next.
Thats it, in no time at all you will be playing your x360 game backups
hey, i downloaded the schrontom program today, and it sees the samsung drive, and i choose the place to place the file, but yet when i hit execute it just comes up saying "can not get feature list from shd-162c" it has kreon .8 on it. any help would be great.
thanks
chris
You can just flash it in windows when you download the firmware, its an exe file that opens a dialog box and asks you to select your dvd drive and the bin file that came with the firmware package and then click on update, about ten seconds later its done and you just have to restart windows.
