I'm cleaning and deleting a years worth of accumulation on my 40G hd, well really 37G. Anyhow, I'm torqued at ms, as they matter-of-factly say "to delete a program, go to control panel, add & remove software. That's a load of crap! First of all, the junk I'm tryiing to uninstall, is the "free" junk they put on my computer that I don't want. MSN, I thought I uninstalled it, now I see it is in the start menu. MS money, as well. Not in uninstall tool, no uninstall folder in the program files.

Only a fraction of installed s/w is in the add or remove programs tool, how can they advertise this as the end-all method for uninstalling?!

This whole project is for a dual boot with Linux, but before I repartition the HD, I want as much space as possible. My os is not making it easy. Are there utilities that remove unwanted programs? Or, how is it done? I would imagine this must come up quite regularly. Any help and/or MS trashing would be welcomed!

Ok, great. Already downloaded the program, just havent gotten around to using it. I deleted too much and lost my wordpad. Must restore w/recovery disk. Oh well.

I think my wireless network has been under attack? There are all kinds of wierd IP's on the incoming side. Is there any significance to port 32794? That seems like a popular destination coming in to my network. Strange things.
